The project involves design, construction and operation the pipeline that will transport natural gas from gas fields located in the Cusco region to the cities of Cusco, Juliaca, Arequipa and Ilo Matarani.
With an approximate length of 1.085 km, the South Pipeline will constitute the backbone of socio-economic development of Cusco, Arequipa, Moquegua and Puno regions and will increase the reliability of the national natural gas supply because it is an independent pipeline than the existing. It will also offer the most competitive tariff scheme for the development of petrochemical, installation of electricity generating plants, changing the energy matrix in large industry, natural gas distribution and marketing house of vehicular natural gas in southern Peru.
